Last weekend we had the opportunity to ride our bikes with hundreds of other cyclists down Venice Blvd car-free thanks to CycLAvia. The roads were closed to car traffic and only cyclists and pedestrians were allowed.

Eric and I thought the concept was super cool – closing a group of streets a few times a year in LA to encourage people to get outside, get exercise and get healthy! I only have a few photos from occasional breaks or intersections where we had to walk the bikes.

We rode down to the farmer’s market and then further down toward the beach, but Ethan was terrified and pretty much fretted the entire ride so we only lasted a couple hours. (He just needs more practice. )

Max fell asleep in the Burley!

The Loys joined us for a portion, but Maggie also fell asleep on the back of Effie’s bike so they had to head back as well.
