Ethan wanted to have his party at Pump It Up – a kid-friendly place full of bouncy castles, slides, climbing, etc. He had been to his friend Jude’s party there last February….and for 10 months he reminded us that is where he wanted his party. We told him that was fine…and a deal is a deal.

We also had to find a way to work in “Astro Boy” since he watched the movie

for the first time on Thanksgiving and was hooked. So it was only fitting that he asked for an Astro Boy cake. And while I wanted to make the cake, and actually considered it, I realized it was beyond my amateur skills. We ordered probably one of the best birthday cakes I’ve ever had from Yummy & Co – yes, it was that good. Definitely gave McArthur’s Bakery a run for their money in my opinion!

What a bounty of gifts he received from his friends….Legos, Toy Story 3 stuff, dart guns, racetrack & cars, puzzles, games, Aquadoodle, Bakugan and of course, Transformers. He’s been so busy playing with all his new goodies.

It was such fun! 25 friends showed up on January 15th to jump and run around like crazy little people and they wore themselves out. Ethan had a great time…and he looked like such a big kid running around with his buddies. And when it was time for cake at the end of the party, he looked so exhausted – Several (including Ethan) fell asleep on the car ride home. Hopefully most had good naps!
