Max is trying his hardest to communicate and is presently aspiring to be Elmo’s biggest fan. He makes his little opinion heard with either a “ESH” (yes) or a violent shake of his head side to side for no. While he’s still a man of few actual words, he is definitely not a quiet little boy. He loves to sing, yell and laugh.

Max really enjoys coloring with crayons these days and is giving kisses. Mostly to his big brother — So sweet!

He’s neat and tidy…likes to wipe his hands and tray clean after a meal and will help pick up when he’s done playing.

Here’s a few highlights from the past couple of months:

Max’s Favorite things:  The beach, kissing his reflection, piggy back rides, raisins, Elmo clips on YouTube and the Avenger’s Theme Song.

Least favorite things: Meat. This child will not even put a piece of poultry, beef, pork to his lips. I try weekly, and after a fight, I fail each time to get him to even try it.

Favorite past-time activities: Reading “big boy” books, waterplay, coloring and stickers! He absolutely loves to sit with a sheet of stickers, peel them off and stick them on the dog, the furniture, me….whatever he can find!

Current toddler tricks: Finally waving bye-bye!! Feeding himself, running, stepping off of anything raised, going down slides at the park.

New Words / Sounds: Something that is starting to sound like “Thank you”

Working toward: Hopefully talking more!

  • I loved seeing Max “helping” and playing while you washed your fruits and veggies from the Farmer’s Market. I just LOVED going to the Farmer’s Market during our last visit. We miss all of you, which I know is no big surprise. Paw-Paw Dave will have to work on Max and his “no meat eating”. We can’t raise the most delicious meat in Missouri and not have our grandchildren partake. 🙂 Love to all and we will see you all very soon on the beaches of Florida 🙂 🙂 🙂 Maw-maw Danker
